Anna-ism’s

February 2nd, 2009 by Eli

I updated my list of Anna-ism’s, funny things she says, and thought I’d post my list here.  These start around May of last year…so when she was about 2-1/2 until about 3 years 4 months old.

  • “I’m so smart!” while learning to ride her bike.  I guess we do say that to her quite a bit. ;)
  • While riding her bike, she stopped in the middle of the street.  We asked her why she stopped and she said “I had to stop and think.”
  • I gave Anna two red goldfish to eat and she exclaimed “Ooh red!  Red is my favorite color!” I told her that I thought blue was her favorite color and she replied “No, red is my favorite color NOW.” Like, duh Mom.
  • “Mommy your hair looks GOOD!” after I got out of the shower and had my hair down.
  • We sometimes mix a little bit of dog “gravy” in with the dog’s food.  Anna saw me pouring it in and asked if it was “dog ketchup.”
  • Refers to the McDonald’s inside of Walmart as a McWalmart.
  • “I have germs in my mouth.  That’s how I talk.”
  • She saw a mud puddle outside with water on top:  “Look Mommy, the mud is getting washed!”
  • She was lying in bed with us and I was facing her and apparently breathing on her too much: “Mommy stop blowing air on me, I’m cold.”
  • “When my germs fall out of my mouth I won’t have any more germs.”
  • While picking her nose: “I have to get all the germs out of my nose.” (Are you seeing a theme here??  She was obsessed with germs for awhile..)
  • I was reading an email on my cell phone and Anna came in with a BIG book and said “Here Mommy, you can read a book.  You don’t have to read on your phone.”
  • We watched the Superbowl on the outside TV and had a campfire going.  The campfire got really big at one point with sparks shooting up out of the top.  Anna thought the sparks were bugs.  “Look at all the bugs flying out of the fire!”
  • After using the last of the toilet paper tonight: “Sorry Mommy.  I used all of the toilet paper.  You’ll have to find some more.”

There are many, many more that I forget by the time I go to write them down.  She says so many funny things.  I wish I could just record her all the time so I never miss anything.

About

I'm a relatively boring person...wife to Dan, mom to Anna and two little wiener dogs. Photography is my hobby, though maybe someday I'll make some money off of it. Skiing is a passion, when I can do it. Maybe at some point I'll put something a little more witty and interesting here.
